Redding Competition Seater Die 308 Win.
#55155
The Redding Competition Seater Die has solved the concentricity problems inherent in other seating dies of this type. Tighter manufacturing tolerances have been made possible due to the details of the patented seating stem system. The bullet guide to seating stem fit is so precise that the seating stem can actually be demonstrated to "float" on a column of air. The seating stem is precision ground to exactly match bullet diameter. Alignment and accuracy are enhanced by the cartridge case and bullet being completely supported and aligned in a close fitting, precision ground sleeve before bullet seating begins. The micrometer is calibrated in 0.001" increments for precise seating depth and is infinitely adjustable (without clicks). Also has a "zero set" feature that allows you to zero the micrometer to your rifle or favorite seating depth. Shellholder sold separately.
Notes: THIS DIE DOES NOT CRIMP THE BULLET. A CRIMP DIE MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.

I have have a Forster microseater, a Wilson microseater, & the Redding. I like the Redding the better than the Forster because it has a standard or a vld stem & doesn’t leave ring marks. You have to buy the vld stem separate. The Wilson is unbeatable with a force dial letting you really feel if there’s something different with the neck tension & has super concentricity but it’s more time consuming. The Wilson requires an arbor press. The Redding does a great job too & is much faster than the Wilson. If your deciding between the Redding or Forster seater I think you will like the Redding. If you don’t use vld bullets the Forster is a little cheaper & just as good but leaves marks on vld bullets & doesn’t have a vld stem option. Use a Forster full length sizing die to get the best concentricity with consistent neck tension of .002 & consider a mandrel combined with the Forster sizing die. With the Forster full length sizer or Forster in conjunction with a mandrel you can really get the best out of your Redding microseater getting great concentricity & consistent oal
