I have used these in my reloads on two cow elk, one at 35 yards and the second at 55 yards, both loads were at 1320 FPS, chronographed, using V-110 powder out of a Ruger Redhawk, 7-1/2" iron sight barrel. Both shots were exceptional in bullet performance. Penetration was as expected and mushrooming was perfect within the range and velocity , they were down within 50 yards of impact, which was what I was wanting.
I recommend these bullets for anyone that is an avid big game hunter that wants to up their skill level by closing the distance to their game. Practice will be warranted to get used to the recoil
created by this heavy round, suggest going with maybe 185-200 grain light round's for a few sessions before trying a bullseye shot with the 265 grainers, they do have a bit of recoil at this velocity
